From 6 to 13 September 2026, GPA was once again the security partner for the Montreux Nestlé Open, which celebrated its 10th edition this year. We have been supporting this event for several years.
A long-term partnership
Supporting an event over several editions changes the nature of the role. Knowledge of the venues, crowd flows and the organisers’ routines enables us to anticipate rather than react, and to refine the operational arrangements from one year to the next. Over a full week of competition, this continuity makes all the difference: the arrangements must stand the test of time, adapt to the growing crowds as the tournament builds towards the finals, and accommodate players, spectators and partners within the same space.
Event security: a profession that requires foresight
Just as in top-level sport, our roles demand concentration, precision, the ability to anticipate situations and a cool head. Access control, monitoring of sensitive areas, welcoming the public, and coordination with organisers and the authorities: each role contributes to the smooth running of the event, ideally without anyone even noticing.
Two female officers on the court
During the closing weekend, two of our female officers had the opportunity to take to the court and convey a message that is close to our hearts: women have every right to be part of the security sector. Whether out in the field, on call-outs, on patrol or at reception, they make a vital contribution to the quality of our operations and the diversity of our teams.
